Dreams

Had a pretty strange dream last night. Actually, considering some things that happened yesterday and lately, it may not be too strange. I was flying in a helicopter, well...not 'in' the helicopter, I was actually hanging on to the tail. We were flying along fine for a while then it started getting choppy, then it started plunging downward. Finally straightened out for a bit then started spinning. That part was actually kind of amusing, because in my dream I was holding on with my arms and legs were flung out, spinning around. We stabilized again and then started plunging down again. We finally landed, safe and sound. I say "we" because I know there were others inside, but I honestly can't remember who. I think maybe my children and who else I don't know.

Do dreams say something to us? I do know that there are things going on in my life where I feel like I am holding on by a thread. Some times are better than others. Kind of ironic huh? What I just don't know is does the safe landing mean things around here will work out or just that I will land on my feet no matter what happens? The rides not over yet, but I'm not the pilot. I can't control this. I can only hope and pray for the best.

(Somewhere in this dream there were chocolates too! Someone at a mall handed me a whole tray of truffles. Yum!)

pat-it's not a bad dream, but what i get from it is that in some way, your life is out of your control, and that you truly don't feel as if you're the 'pilot' of your own life...however, since you & your kids had a 'safe landing', that should give you enough confidence that, whatever happens, you & all can handle it!

Dreams can really be a message from your subconscious mind. I don't know enough to try and guess what yours means, but it sounds if you have some clues from your waking life...
Chocolates in a dream can't be all bad :-)

Whoa...what a dream. I had a dream I was flying. Actually really flying. No plane. They told me I was astral traveling. Sounded good to me.

As for your dream, Pat, I'm seeing it as you are reaching for something not in your grasp. Everytime you try to get it, it fails to become a reality. You feel that others are "higher" than you (hence, being on the back end of the plane) or maybe you put others before you since your children might have been in the plane. When you safely got to earth, you were awarded truffles. Which to me meant here's your reward for being so kind to others, but don't stop trying to find that something you are looking for. Hey, I'm good at this, lol.

Peach, I sometimes wonder what and if dreams mean anything. Sometimes I think they do but then there are dreams that I've had that if they mean something, I don't know what it is, crazy stuff.
Wish I could be of more help.
Check out my response to your comment on my last post. :)

There have been times for me, when I've been very stressed about various things going on in my life, or overwhelmed by too many responsibilities or other concerns, when I've had dreams that have repeated themselves several times. One is when I'm driving and I start backing up and I can't stop, but I never hit anything in this dream. I've also had the dream where I'm falling, but I've always managed to land safely without getting hurt. Very strange. I don't know what they all mean....
