Things are finally back to normal (well, kind-sorta). Husband has returned to work. His schedule is for 12 hour days right now, but we can use the over-time since funds have been depleted the last couple months. This will only last for a month or so then back to rotating days off. I will continue working. He has had to take quite a pay decrease so my income will make up for that. Besides I'm really loving my job. Things are coming together.
Now to start thinking about Christmas. "Christmas!" you say? Apparently so. As I was driving down the road the other day I was going through radio stations and found one playing "Winter Wonderland". At first I thought it may have been a commercial, but no, the whole song played. Then another came on. It seems this radio station started playing Christmas music 24/7 on Nov. 1. It's funny how just listening to that music can give you that "all over good feeling" At least is does for me. I love Christmas and I'm going to make sure I do up the outside lights and decorations this year. I neglected that last year and I really missed it. It just felt like something was missing. And luckily my Christmas fund is still intact so I need to get started shopping. Got your wish list made? (If it's not at the $1 store your out of luck!)

Let me guess....100.3 WNIC in Detroit?
They do it every year! Personally, i think it is just a little too early.
Don't get me wrong, i LOVE xmas music...you're right it does give you that "all over warm feeling" but I can wait another 2-3 weeks to start listening.
SOOO glad things are getting back to normal for you and your family....perfect timing for the holidays!
*sigh*
And me with no dollars this year...
Christmas had lost its joy to me, and then I had my son and rediscovered the REAL meaning of Christmas. So my wish list is the old fashioned stuff: Peace on earth, goodwill to men.
I listen to Christmas music year round. I'm a Bing guy and Elvis' Blue Christmas too.
Chesney - yep! That's the station! Early? yes, but I still love it!
Steel - $$ doesn't Christmas make...it comes from the heart
Cheryl - I'm with you, that's the true meaning of Christmas.
Pirate - I love the old Christmas music too.
Christmas is about giving. Seeking nothing in return. Cheryl is right on... Peace on Earth, as it is in Heaven and goodwill to men... and women.... and children...
Of course.....
..... I wouldn't turn away a cart-load of presents, but.... I'm just not expecting anything.... ;-)
David - I have faith in the Peace on Earth and Goodwill towards men....but don't hold your breath on the cart-load! LOL
fts - I am the same way! Music helps to set the mood too. Although I do like the shopping because I like giving. But it's not the $$ of the gift. Many gifts are hand made, or little things that mean a lot.
I so agree with you, just the Christmas songs give me that all over good feeling too. I went into Walmart and Lowe's the other day and I had to go right to the Christmas lights and decor, it was so much fun, just thinking about getting everything all fixed up!!!
Christmas is my all time favorite holiday....love those songs, too and that all over good feeling! I'm so excited wondering about all the stuff packed away from last year and can't wait to get it out for this year. Maybe this year we'll do it before Thanksgiving instead of after?? =o)
Oh boy! I knew there was a reason I registered at both Dollar General and Family Dollar!
